From the
Manager’s Desk

Over the next few weeks you should see some of our new tee signs go up.

We still have four holes that need sponsors, so if you are interested in sponsoring a hole please contact me for more details.

We have a competition running for the volunteers that are helping to weed and keep the couch runners out of the new greens.

The prize will be a dinner for four at a local restaurant still yet to be decided. Scott Parker will be the judge.

Thanks to all of those guys who have put there hands up so far.

We are still looking for some more volunteers to do the 3rd hole. We need 4 people per hole.

If you are interested in helping out please contact Baz.

General Manager

CAPTAIN'S NOTES

Slow Play
Members, a meeting will be held by the match committee within the next week to decide the action that HAS to be taken in regard to slow play.

Last Saturday members walked off the course after it took over 3 hours to play 9 holes. This is totally unacceptable on this golf course.

We will be looking at a time limit of 2 ¼ hours to complete 9 holes. The first group to not achieve this will be penalised 1 stroke each. Also any group that is late to tee off will lose 1 stroke each.

Members MUST report to the pro shop 20 minutes prior to their tee time or they will be moved to the back of the field.

These may be harsh measures but I am continually getting complaints from Members regarding slow play, and no matter how many times I drive around asking Members to pick up the pace, it continues to happen.

The outcome of the meeting will be in next week’s Round The Traps.

Club Opening Day
The Match Committee has decided that on the up coming Opening Day and also on Closing Day the competition fee will be $20.

This includes a compulsory cart, a buffet style meal and presentation at the completion of the game.

This is a fun day and it brings all members together. We are supplying a full meal so that you don't have to worry about making dinner when you arrive home.

With everyone playing in buggies this will alleviate the problems that we had last year with groups walking back and forth to see which ball to hit causing slow play. The match committee look forward to a great day.

Ladies Opening Day

The Ladies Opening Day will be held on the 7th of February.

If the weather is wet there will be morning tea in the club house from 10.30am.

A reminder to all Ladies that you must store your pull buggy’s in your lockers and not on top of the locker.
