Cairns Golf Club offers two Golf Introductory programs specifically designed for Women to learn golf in a fun and relaxed environment.

Typically the programs are conducted during School Terms avoiding the busy School Holiday periods.

The programs consist of a FREE Come and Try Day with all equipment supplied and qualified coaches to ensure you have an enjoyable experience.

If after the Come and Try Day you decide you’d like to continue on, there is a Level 1, four week Course (one session per week) a cost of $99, again with all equipment supplied. We’ll even give you unlimited Driving Range Balls to practice during the 4 week duration of the course.

Our next Swing Fit program consists of four weekly sessions, with each lasting 75 minutes.
You can expect a range of positive outcomes at the conclusion of the program.
Beginners will learn the basics of golf in a fun and social way. Outcomes include how to:

  • Take your stance and grip the club
  • Swing and move your body like a golfer
  • Hit the ball
  • Putt with poise and precision
  • Refine your aim

Swing Fit can also help increase your range of movement and flexibility, improve upper, mid and lower body conditioning and even your cardiovascular health.
Golf is a really social sport and we're finding that Swing Fit is creating friendships on and off the course.
The sessions are interactive, so you'll get to know your fellow participants and you can expect a few laughs along the way.
Each Swing Fit session has between 6-10 participants. All activities are designed to be completed in pairs and the approach includes a lot of games, so you'll learn without even realising that's what is happening. You'll also have time to debrief at the end of each session.

The best thing about Swing Fit is that you don’t have to know anything about golf to get involved.
Many of our participants have never even picked up a club before.
So if you’re interested in a fun, healthy and social way to learn to play golf, Swing Fit is for you!
You’ll have fun in a relaxed environment and your swing and putting will improve each week.
You’ll learn golf-specific exercises and movements, work in pairs, receive constant support and be surrounded by like-minded people.

If you are looking for one-on-one golf specific tuition, Swing Fit may not meet your expectations, but we do have 4 accredited PGA Professionals on staff to assist you.
